About

George Weitz BA(hons) Mmus (Lond)

I play and teach both violin and viola, but I started from the outset with the Viola. I have studied with Polly Waterfield and Elizabeth Holbrook who both were very inspiring and encouraging. I studied music at the University of East Anglia and at King’s College, London where I studied Music Theory and Analysis.

I have performed in many Orchestras, String Quartets and other ensembles both in the UK and abroad. Locally I have played with the Imperial Vienna Orchestra, Norwich Pops Orchestra, Cromer and Sheringham Choral Society, UEA Orchestra, Norwich and Norfolk Operatic Society and with Lee Vasey’s Band to name but a few.

In 2008 I formed the Arcadia String Quartet which is available for weddings, functions and concerts.
